Janet Jackson, Jamie Foxx, Michael B. Jordan, Karrueche Tran and Many More Celebrate the 13th Annual LudaDay Weekend in Atlanta

Thursday was the official kick-off of the LudaDay Weekend festivities with the annual BMI Awards honoring mega-star– Janet Jackson. This award show presented Miss Jackson with the ‘Icon Award’ and featured a montage tribute to the superstar with performances by a youth dance group, Teyana Taylor, Jussie Smollet, Normani, H.E.R., Justine Skye along with opening remarks by Ciara and closing accolades from Missy Misdemeanor Elliot.

Friday morning the Ludacris Foundation hosted the Grass is Greener Golf Tournament at the prestigious Crystal Lake Golf and Country Club in Hampton, GA. Following the golfing event, VIP guests gathered at Atlanta’s premier private membership club, The Gathering Spot, for the first-ever LudaDay Spades Tournament and Game Night hosted by Woody McClain of BET’s The Bobby Brown Story. Twenty-eight teams faced off for an intense spades tournament, playing for a cash prize of $1500.00 and bragging rights. In the end, BJ & Rock’s team took home the victory and title as the first LudaDay Weekend Spades Champions.

Over 16,000 people assembled on Saturday to attend the Ludacris Foundation’s yearly LudaFam Day block party outside of the Mercedes Benz Stadium. Several artists hit the two stages including – Ludacris, Flaujae, Ar’mon and Trey, Bre-Z, Molly Brazy, Brie and many more, as well as a surprise appearance by the Democratic candidate in Georgia’s Governor election, Stacey Abrams. Tristan “Mack” Wilds and Power star, Michael Rainey Jr., also made guest appearances pumping up the crowd on stage and even doing the Shiggy Challenge dancing to Drake’s hit song, In My Feelings.
