JAY-Z Wants To Be Removed From Roc Nation Logo Lawsuit

As previously reported, Hov is being sued by Iconix Brand Group for using the company’s logo on MLB merchandise. Iconix Brand Group says they bought the Roc Nation logo from Jay for $204 million a while back. Now, they are suing him, Roc Nation, New Era, LIDS and the San Francisco Giants for at least $10 million each for using the logo without getting their consent.

According to new documents obtained by TMZ, Jigga has rebutted IBG’s claims, and is now saying he shouldn’t be involved in the suit, personally. He says IBG’s beef is with his company, Roc Nation. Since there is no proof that the rap mogul personally had anything to do with the merchandising deal, he wants to be excluded from the litigation.

In other Hov-related news, the Brooklyn MC recently hosted his 3rd annual Tidal X concert. The show featured performances from Stevie Wonder, Cardi B, Jennifer Lopez, Chris Brown, DJ Khaled, Fat Joe, Remy Ma, Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee, Yo Gotti, A$AP Ferg, Vic Mensa, Joey Bada$$, Willow Smith, Belly, Jadakiss, Iggy Azalea, Fifth Harmony and many more.

Money collected at this year’s show will be divided among organizations that are working on the relief and recovery for those affected by Hurricane Harvey, Hurricane Irma, Hurricane Maria and the recent earthquakes that took place in Mexico.
