R. Kelly has to sit almost another year before his fate regarding his freedom is decided in a courtroom. A federal judge in Chicago delayed R. Kelly’s trial on child pornography and other charges because of concerns about the coronavirus pandemic.
The 53-year-old superstar has been locked up since his arrest in July 2019. Two trial dates, for April and then October this year, have already have been canceled. were earlier struck. His new trial date is set for Sept. 13, 202, but U.S. District Judge Harry Leinenweber stated that the date can change as well.
