Kanye Doesn’t Disappoint With New Album Ye. It is Short but Sweet [Album Stream + Review]

The album titled seems appropriate because throughout the album, Kanye talks a lot about his life. On the record “Wouldn’t Leave” he talks about his marriage to Kim Kardashian. On ‘Violent Crimes’ he talks about how life is for him and other dads who are raising daughters. In his infamous TMZ interview he talks about how he was addicted to prescription pills. He tackles that issue on ‘Yikes’ and also deals with his depression on ‘No Mistakes’. Throughout my  journey of the Ye album I found it to be dope and consistent. The beats and clever rhyme schemes are all classic Ye. On ‘All Mine’ he drops some sick punchlines about his Kardashian/Jenner in laws and their significant others.

In all the album is good. Out of the seven tracks, I like 6 of them. I wasn’t really feeling the singing on the hook of ‘Ghost Town’. The obvious flaw of the album is that it could be a little bit longer. Other than that I thought this aligned well with the impressive resume of Kanye’s music catalogue. In all, I give Kanye West’s Ye album a B+. The shortness of the album took away from it being a solid A. I put the songs down below. I had to retrieve it off Youtube and I don’t how long they will stay posted, so listen while you can.
