The long single cuff is not meant for all denim—even if you’re Kanye West.

For as long as he’s been famous, Kanye West has been one of the planet’s biggest proponents of the denim stack. Whether for aesthetics or fear of tailors, West has sported slim jeans that bunch up around the ankles more than any other variety, in turn helping the stack enter the mainstream (as West’s style moves often tend to do). One other West habit: flexing the latest unreleased Yeezys whenever he gets a chance. On a recent trip to Takashi Murakami’s studio in Japan, West was photographed wearing what are being dubbed the “Semi-Frozen Yellow” sneakers. But let’s set the sneakers aside for a second. Because it seems as if, in order to maximize the focus on his new kicks, West folded his jeans with a long single cuff that’s way more workwear than West.
