Kevin Durant’s game against former team proves his choice was a ‘Sucka Move’

Most people probably would view that back and forth as a result of a former player trying to prove a point to his former team. I viewed it as the tin man getting heart after he gets with the toughest gang on the block. I think since Durant has joined the Golden State Warriors, he has grown a new set of balls. The same way people said LeBron James didn’t know how to win until he joined D Wade, Pat Riley and the Miami Heat. The same sort of thing could be said about Durant.

The same way I didn’t like LeBron decision to go to the Heat, is the same way I don’t like Durant going to the Warriors. I just think Durant decision was worse than LeBron. Even though they both left in the prime of their career to form/join a super team. Durant departure was to a team that beat him last year in the playoffs. On top of that, there has always been lingering animosity between the two teams. KD going to the other side makes him look like a traitor. And for him to be talking shit throughout the game last night, makes him look like a sucka. It just seems like KD didn’t have the same type of bravado when he was with OKC last year. It just feels like he got with the bullies and became a bully.

Of course it is his prerogative to do what he wants. I just notice the hypocrisy from fans and media people when both players made their decision. LeBron was as close to a villain that you can have when he joined the Miami Heat. His jersey was getting burned in Cleveland, the owner of the Cavs had something to say. He was getting booed in visiting arenas around the league. Basically LeBron had it rough that first year in Miami. On the contrary, it seems like Durant hasn’t had to face that much criticism. There have been some former players and media people who have called him out on his choice of team. But for the most part, it has been mild compared to LeBron.

It should be noted that I am a fan of LeBron James. And for the most part I am a fan of Kevin Durant. In saying that I might come off a little more sympatric toward LeBron than I do KD. But I think a perfect comparison to the Kevin Durant scenario is how Meek Mill describe it when he had the interview with Taxstone. He said Durant going to Golden State Warriors was like “me leaving Dreamchasers and going to OVO.” And I agree with that, It’s just like Drake dropping the “Back to Back” diss song and a couple months later he signs with his label. Then after he signs with Drake label, he then drops a song dissing Rick Ross and Wale. That would be wack. And that’s how I felt when I saw KD last night strutting and talking smack against his former team. For that he is my anti-hero for the 2016-2017 NBA season.
