More information has been released regarding Cook County State Attorney Kim Foxx handling of Empire actor Jussie Smollett case. Foxx’s office released nearly 200 pages of texts screenshots and 3,600 pages of emails this week that revealed conversations between public officials. In one of those texts, Kim Foxx called Smollett a “washed up celebrity” and said that she “rescued” herself from his case. She also called R. Kelly a pedophile and compared his case to Smollett. She said: ‘Pedophile with 4 victims 10 counts. ‘Washed up celeb who lied to cops, 16.’
The texts revealed how flawed the justice system can be for certain people.
