Gospel Singer Kirk Franklin posted a message on Instagram revealing that his sister was sentenced to 30 years in prison. In the post he also wondered if he could have done more: “My sister was just sentenced to 30 years in prison…I now feel the weight of wondering if I could’ve done more…” he said. According to BET.com, Franklin has stated in the past that his sister was in addicted to crack cocaine and involved in prostitution. “She quickly started using again, becoming very reckless with her body, which turned into her using it as a means to pay for her habit.” he said.
