Lil Bibby Says Common and Kanye West Can’t Stop The Violence In Chicago

Some of the Chi’s higher profile natives are working to find solutions to ending gun violence. But Bibby believes their efforts are futile.

“Where I’m from, they don’t pay no attention to that,” the “Free Crack 2″ rapper told Mass Appeal. “All we think about is: these guys killed somebody we love, so people need payback. That’s how we think. We don’t think about no Kanye or no Common. Can’t nobody tell nobody to stop. If someone killed your brother, you would be doing the same thing.”

Common is teaming with Kanye West to combat violence by providing employment opportunities for Chicago African American teens.

Common’s Common Ground Foundation and Kanye’s DONDA’s House, Inc. are reportedly seeking to create 20,000 jobs for youths in Chicago.
