AJ Calloway has been let go from his hosting duties on the show “Extra” based on an investigation into sexual assault allegations. Back in 2006, Calloway was sent to jail after author and activist Sil Lai Abrams accused him of sexual assault. The charges were later dropped, but then last January, two other women came forward and accused him of the same thing.

Warner Bros, TV, who is the parent company of “Extra” released a statement: “The company has investigated the claims made into Mr. Calloway’s conduct and he and the company have mutually agreed to part ways.”

Calloway who was the former host BET’s 106 & Park, before joining “Extra” in 2006 has denied the charges. “As I have maintained from the beginning, these allegations are not true,” Calloway stated back in February. “When I was first notified about these allegations by law enforcement more than a decade ago, I fully cooperated from the beginning and the case was dismissed,” he said.
