Madonna Cannot Stop You from Purchasing Tupac’s Breakup Letter to Her

Madonna has lost the appeal that came from a 2018 ruling that threw out her lawsuit to stop the sale of her personal items. One of those items was a letter that Tupac wrote her while he was in jail 24 years ago. In the letter, Pac told her based on his image and his supporters, he could not date her.

“For you to be seen with a Black man wouldn’t in any way jeopardize your career. If anything it would make you seem that much more open & exciting,” ‘Pac stated. “But for me at least in my previous perception I felt due to my ‘image’ I would be letting down half of the people who made me what I thought I was. I never meant to hurt you,” he continued.

The judge ruled that Madonna could not stop the sale of the letter, since she signed a release form in 2004. The letter will be up for auction in July.
