Man Who Took Gun From Waffle House Shooter Says “He Was Going To Have To Work To Kill Me”

According to police and witnesses the Nashville Waffle House shooting could have gotten worse, if it wasn’t for the actions of James Shaw Jr. The shooter who was semi-nude walked into the restaurant and started shooting before Shaw wrestled away rifle. “He shot through that door; I’m pretty sure he grazed my arm. At that time I made up my mind … that he was going to have to work to kill me. When the gun jammed or whatever happened, I hit him with the swivel door,” Shaw said. The shooter who has been suspected to be 29-year-old Travis Reinking still has not been captured.
