On Monday, a ceremony took place in the State House of Maryland for the unveiling of statues that honor Frederick Douglass and Harriet Tubman. “The statues are a reminder that our laws aren’t always right or just. But there’s always room for improvement,” said House Speaker Adrienne A. Jones (D-Baltimore County) to the Washington Post.
