Training my client Dora (not the explorer) the other day and it seemed like she just couldn’t remember any exercise I demonstrated for her to do.  I kept having to show her over and over again.  This is common amongst people who are stressed.  Overly stressed people cannot exist in the moment.  The problem is that stress they take on affects the body in a way that is very unhealthy.  You undoubtedly face multiple demands each day, such as shouldering a huge workload, making ends meet and taking care of your family.  The problem is we never take a mental break.  The long-term activation of the stress-response system can disrupt almost all your body’s processes. This puts you at increased risk of numerous health problems, including weight gain and digestive problems.  Today’s society has made stress and always living on the edge (all my friends are dead- Lil Uzi) a way of life.  The way to offset this according to ancient science and my client Tiffany C. is meditation.
