Min. Farrakhan: Obama “Has Not, Cannot and Will Not” Solve Black America’s Problems

“Clearly, we are in a dire condition,” Farrakhan said in the address, “and the government of America cannot solve our problems.”

“Let me show you a little bit more,” Farrakhan continued, “Even though we in 2013 are celebrating a two-term black president…the brother simply has not been able to repair the damage caused by centuries of racism [and] greed, which has now run this nation over a fiscal cliff.”

Farrakhan went on to note that when Obama was sworn in, the unemployment rate for Blacks stood at 12.7 percent, and now that number has crept even higher, and stands at 13.8 percent.

Farrakhan also noted the gaping wealth gap between African-Americans and Whites.

“The wealth gap is so wide that white Americans now have 22 times more wealth than the average Black American,” observed Min. Farrakhan.
