N.J. teacher fired over students’ ‘get well’ letters to Mumia Abu-Jamal

A New Jersey school teacher was fired for allowing her students to write a letter to political prisoner Mumia Abu-Jamal. Mumia who is incarcerated for alleging killing a police officer is not doing well with his health. Marylin Zuniga showed her compassion by letting her third grade classroom write a “Get Well” letter to the inmate. As a result, the School Board of Orange County released Zuniga.
