The drama surrounding the benching of New England Patriots Cornerback Malcolm Butler continues to go on. Butler did not play at all in the big game, after playing all season. He said the Patriots gave up on him in his postgame interview. His coach, Bill Belichick has stood by his decision, calling the move a football decision and not a disciplinary move. There has been several rumors about Butler’s benching, from speculation that he had weed, to reports he broke curfew to go to a Rick Ross concert.
In a post on Twitter, Butler made a statement that refuted all those rumors and gave praise to his team and the Patriots organization. You can read it below.
