ARLINGTON, Texas – Improbably, unexpectedly, Ohio State went from third string to first rate.
The fourth-seeded Buckeyes polished off a crazy run to the national championship Monday night, riding the big arm of quarterback Cardale Jones and the fast feet of Ezekiel Elliott to a 42-20 upset of No. 2 Oregon in the inaugural College Football Playoff championship game at AT&T Stadium.
