Oregon Governor wants additional Support for the Police Department to help slow down the Violence

Following the clash between Black Live Matter protestors and Donald Trump supporters, Oregon governor Kate Brown announced a plan to bring “real change.” Brown released statement that said that people needed to come together to end the violence. “Real change will come from the hard work to achieve racial justice. And it starts with all of us listening to each other, and working together,” Brown said.

Brown also stated that she wants to provide additional support to the police department. Those resources included adding the U.S Attorney and the F.B.I to the fold. “To support the Portland Police Bureau with personnel and resources to keep the peace and protect free speech,” reimbursing those additional forces for their help and utilizing the U.S. Attorney and the Federal Bureau of Investigation to investigate criminal activity.”
