Since alcohol has been getting much press lately I wanted to explore the choice of drink for many of my clients, and that is wine.  Red and white wine are the most popular drinks in the U.S. according to polling, recently surpassing beer.  Studies show that wine especially can be beneficial to health, particularly in decreasing the risks of cardiovascular complications and heart failure.  One of the major reasons for this is that wine drinkers were shown to eat healthier and slower than other alcohol drinkers.  Read More

Martin Luther King Jr Was Just as Radical as Malcolm X

The economic plan of Elijah Muhammad was something that was in full fledge during the 1960’S and 70’s. The Nation of Islam were the owners of several businesses, including a farm where they grew they own food. While he was a member of Nation of Islam, Malcolm X advocated these issues during his speeches. Not only did he talk about economic separation, but also political and social separation for Black people. Before his death, Malcolm modified his stance into a Pan-Africa point of view. He stressed the need for all Black people to unite worldwide. A lot of people associate Malcolm X with the picture of him standing at his window with a shotgun. They attribute his “Ballot or the Bullet” speech as the epitome of ideology. Read More
