Pavy Interview

BTN: What stood out within the music was the spiritual aspect of the sound. Can you explain the concept behind that?

Pavy: Growing up, I went to church every Sunday, plus I went to a Lutheran school since like the 3rd grade. So it is just naturally a part of me; I just am dropping parallels between the two worlds. Like with the album, I dropped a parallel between Jesus, Caesar, and myself. If you listen to the album, it’s like a story; it starts out with me explaining who I am. Then it transitions to me breaking a girl’s heart, then I go pick up another girl in a car and I’m explaining my future life to her. Specifically, I have a song called Psalm Sunday, where I’m rich and famous and I come back home. Sort of like Jesus came back on Psalm Sunday, but I come back on some I’m the man now like I’m shittin on people. Then two songs later, I called it ‘Crucified’ because Jesus was crucified a week later. That concept is like people going to criticize you for things you have done, it’s like every action has a reaction.

BTN: With that concept. How interesting are you to take that to a higher platform? Because that theme can double as a movie as well as an album.

Pavy: Acting is a big thing of mine. What I’m going to do is grab a camera and start documenting my life. I want to create a documentary or a movie one day. My main thing is to inspire; you not going to hear me say I want to make world peace or something like that. I just want to inspire; like if this dude is trying to graduate high school. I want to say something to inspire him to do that.
