Police report that Southern California man hung himself from a tree; Family disputes claim

Seems difficult to me, but that is what authorities in Southern California said Mark Fuller, 24 did to himself on June 10. They stated that a rope that Fuller purchased from a dollar tree on May 14th was used in the incident.

Sheriff’s Commander Chris Marks said Fuller has had a history of depression and has been hospitalized three times since 2017. Marks said during his last hospital visit he told doctors that he “did have a plan to kill himself.”

Initially, Fullers family released a statement disputing the claims that prompted a monthlong investigation.  “The explanation of suicide does not seem plausible,” the statement read. “There are many ways to die, but considering the current racial tension, a Black man hanging himself from a tree definitely doesn’t sit well with us right now. We want justice, not comfortable excuses.”

The family has yet to comment on the latest findings, but their attorney Jason R. Hicks has said he will respond to the sheriff department’s latest explanation.
