BTN: Do you get support from the hip hop community and the artists?

Sherrod: We get a lot of support from the hip hop community but we don’t get a lot of support from rappers.

BTN News: Inform the people where they can find the hip hop culture center

Sherrod: 2309 Frederick Douglas Boulevard on 125th street. Were right up the block from the Apollo theatre: inside the Magic Johnson Theater complex on the second floor. We got 8,000 square feet of pure hip hop coming at you. The website is www.h2c2harlem.com. And I am old school you can pick up the phone and just call our number is (212)234-7171

BTN News: You spoke on the lack of support from the rappers. What is your opinion of the materialism of rap music? What is your opinion of the new school? The shift in topics and the purpose of the culture has obviously change, what do you think is the responsibility of current rappers and how you think they should give back?

Sherrod: Well I think there is a reason rappers get to eat today, there is a reason why they are making money there is a reason why they are wearing those platinum chains, and the rims and everything. Support the people who allowed you, the shoulders that you stepping on. Give props back to the people that allow you to do what you do. Every other culture does it, why don’t we? You don’t know where you going, If you don’t where you came from. It will only make you better artist to know who Africa Bambaataa is, it will make you a better artist to know who Grand Wizard Theodore who Grand Master Caz is, it can only make you better
