Chan has earned $50 million in the past year alone, much of it from the Chinese film Dragon Blade, which costarred Adrien Brody and John Cusack. An expert told Forbes that he’s “basically the Mickey Mouse of Chinese culture.”
American stars like Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper also figure prominently. But major Bollywood stars like Akshay Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, and Salman Khan also have raked in major box-office cash, and seem to be only on their way up.
