Video has surfaced of a Sacramento Sheriff who hit a woman at a rally for Stephon Clark. Not only did the police officer hit the woman, he drove off without checking for her well being. The woman has been identified as Wanda Cleveland, 61 years old and a local community activist. Cleveland was taken to the local hospital for treatment to her arm and the back of her head, she was later released. Witnesses of the incident call it a hit and run. Before being released from the hospital , Cleveland commented that “I want to know what he was thinking… Is my life not that important?” she said from her hospital bed. These words seem to apply not only to the sheriff, but to the police in general. Do they have any regard for human life? Watch the video below
