One of the things I didn’t like in 2Pac’s career was his decision to make diss records against Biggie and other artists on the East Coast. I was a fan of music from Jay Z, Nas, and Mobb Deep and didn’t like how Pac was going at them. I was a fan of Pac also; I just thought that negative energy toward other emcees was beneath him. I know battling and diss records are a part of Hip Hop culture but what Pac was doing was a little bit extra. I do understand that Pac’s situation was personal because he felt like he was set up in Quad studios in New York. It just so happened that Biggie and Puffy were in the studio that night. Pac felt that they should be able to assist, warn or prevent the situation from going down that night. Pac was shot five times that night. It was an incident that he spoke about in several interviews. He also spoke about this in his song Against All Odds.
