Surprise: Trump Responds to Jay-Z’s Critique of Him on Twitter

Appearing on the debut of CNN’s commentator Van Jones new show The Van Jones show, Jay-Z shared his feelings about the behavior and the work of President Trump. “Everyone feels anger, but after the anger it’s really hurtful because he’s looking down on a whole population of people and he’s so misinformed because these places have beautiful people,” Jay said. Hov also responded to Trump boast that Blacks have a low unemployment rate since he been in office. “…it’s not about money at the end of the day. Money doesn’t equate to happiness. It doesn’t. That’s missing the whole point,” he said. He continued on by saying “You treat people like human beings. That’s the main point. It goes back to the whole thing — ‘treat me really bad and pay me well.’ It’s not going to lead to happiness, it’s going to lead to, again, the same thing. Everyone’s going to be sick.”

Well of course it didn’t take long for Trump catch wind of this and respond on…you guessed it…Twitter. “Somebody please inform Jay-Z that because of my policies, Black Unemployment has just been reported to be at the LOWEST RATE EVER RECORDED!” he tweeted. There hasn’t been a counter response from Jay yet, but I’m guessing it won’t be on Twitter. The emcee has a much more clever and effective way of clapping back at his detractors through music. It would seem that the President would take notes and make his point through his profession also. Since he is a politician, it would be logical to cause reform through politics and public policy, instead of tweets.
