Teen appears in court, accused of living lavish lifestyle with stolen credit card numbers

Sheriff’s officials say after the car arrived, Halaweh was given instructions on how to operate the sophisticated vehicle that can travel at speeds of more than 200 miles per hour. Halaweh was apparently never asked to show ID or his driver’s license.

“He’s very sophisticated and he wasn’t afraid to get caught,” said Detective Donald Fletcher of the Sheriff’s Department. “He’s able to do it online. So a lot of this stuff there’s no face to face contact.”

The rental car company reported the car stolen several days later. Halaweh was stopped by Santa Rosa police and was arrested, along with 19-year-old Nhimia Kahsay, who was a passenger.

Since his arrest, authorities learned he allegedly rented a $12 million luxury mansion in Glen Ellen and had thrown an alcohol fueled party there, attended by a number of young people.
