Of course this is just a random theory that could be applied to a handful of artists from other cities as well. I’m sure there are a lot divas within the industry that are difficult to work with. Grammy award winner musician Robert Glasper had some eye popping stories about Lauryn Hill recently. On the other hand, I still feel like there is a certain attitude associated with artists from Chicago. It could be the extra difficulty of someone making it out the city. Although there are a ton of successful artists from the city, there isn’t as much accessibility to the entertainment world as it is in cities like New York, Los Angeles and Atlanta.
Then there is the perception of the hating that goes on in the city. The crabs in the bucket theory is something that may have artists from here become territorial and defensive. I’m not sure really, but from the outside looking in, Chicago artists can be a load to handle sometimes
