Earlier this week, President Trump gave his State of the Union speech. I didn’t watch it but I read that he gave the Medal of Freedom to Rush Limbaugh during his speech. I heard there were a few staged made for TV moments which included a “surprise” reunion of a military family. I’m not even going to talk about (at least not right now) Trump’s continuous effort to lure Black voters on his side.
Skip all that, I just want to know did you see the picture or the video of Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi ripping up a copy of the President’s speech in plain view? Surprisingly, when I saw it, I thought it was kind of petty and disrespectful. On the other hand, I shouldn’t be that surprised, based on the history of these two individuals.
It has been the political version of Love & Hip Hop starring Trifling Trump and Petty Pelosi. The verbal jabs, doctored videos, the wall, impeachment, you name it, have all been good for entertainment. However, when this behavior is exhibited by the people who help dictate public policy, it is kind of pathetic.
