The Thirst is Real: Woman Who is Trying to Reopen Old Rape Case Against Charlamagne Tha God May Not Get Her Wish

Charlamange was originally charged with 2nd Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor but later pled guilty to ‘Delinquency of a Minor’ and sentenced to three years probation. I would sympathize with Reid if she was raped and never got justice from the situation. However, CTG got convicted and took his charge and kept it moving. Why would Reid try to reopen the case after all these years? Especially when she had a chance to cooperate with the police back when it happen and refuse to do so. Her initial lack of cooperation may be the reason that case may not go back to the courtroom.

Scarlett A. Wilson, Solicitor of the Ninth Judicial Circuit in South Carolina, informed hollywoodlife.com that the District Attorney’s office has no intention reopening the case and prosecuting Charlamagne. “The plea was negotiated because the alleged victim in the matter did not cooperate with the prosecutor.” Wilson said in a statement to Hollywoodlife.com. “We are duty bound to honor the agreement in this case. The State’s prosecution has ended and the dismissed charge against Mr. McKelvey will not be resurrected. The law presumes that Mr. McKelvey is innocent of the dismissed allegation.” she concluded.

It’s good to hear that Charlamange won’t be charged again, however the thirst of Reid is still causing him to lose money and possibly his job. There is a petition being floated to have him removed from his radio job. Even though CTG has continued to maintain his innocence over the years, the perception of him being a rapist may hurt his career. Watch the video below of him talking about the case with DJ Akademiks.
