I guess Uncle Snoop proves it’s hard to teach an old Dogg new tricks. The 47-year-old rap icon performed at the University of Kansas’s Late Night at the Phog event that kicks off the basketball season for its men and women’s teams. According to the Athletic Director Jeff Long, “we expected a clean version of the show.” However, did Snoop performed the dirty versions of songs “Gin and Juice” and “Drop Like it’s Hot”, he brought out stripper poles with dancers and fake $100 dollar bills.

“We made it clear to the entertainers’ managers that we expected a clean version of the show and took additional steps to communicate to our fans, including moving the artist to the final act of the evening, to ensure that no basketball activities would be missed if anyone did not want to stay for his show,” Long said in his statement. . “I take full responsibility for not thoroughly vetting all the details of the performance and offer my personal apology to those who were offended,” he continued.

The Late Night at the Phog event has been going on for 35 years and has featured other big-name rappers like 2 Chainz and Tech N9ne. It seems that Snoop is the first rapper that they had to apologize for. “We strive to create a family atmosphere at Kansas and fell short of that this evening,” Long said.  No word from Snoop or his camp has been released.
