Almost Half of the Public Schools in Newark New Jersey Have Contaminated Drinking Water

A report from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has concluded that 30 of Newark’s 66 schools were contaminated with elevated levels of toxic metal in their drinking water. According to Vice News a separate study done by New Jersey Advocacy Group Isles, Inc., found these levels to be higher than Flint Michigan in some New Jersey communities.
