Timeline of Mase and Camron Beef: Childhood Friends to Superstar Rappers

Despite the random insults, jokes and commentary towards Mase from Cam; the two put their differences aside and recorded a song called “Get it” in 2009.

The song recorded by the two and the many years that passed since then, seemed like there was a lid put on the beef between the two Harlem rappers. That was until late early 2017, when Cam was on Instagram live and gave another explanation on why Mase left Harlem. “That nigga Mase was like 22 years old with $10 million dollars” Cam explained. “I probably would had left Harlem too” Cam continued. Mase responded with his own Instagram video and made a few jokes about Cam’ron. Both videos are posted below.

Things didn’t stop there, it actually got worse when Cam’ron dropped his mixtape The Program in November of 2017. On the first track, It’s Killa, Cam tells the story of helping Mase get out of jam and Mase only paying him a hundred dollars. He also mentioned that Mase “turned Pop Lotti against Maine” A reference to the beef with Baby Maine that allegedly ran Mase out of Harlem. You can listen to It’s Killa and the full The Program below.

Not only did Cam drop his mixtape, he also announced that Dipset was getting back together and going on tour. The group released a new single called “Once Upon a Time.” Listen to the single below

To the surprise of many, out the blue, Mase responded with a diss track called The Oracle. A lot of people were shocked because Cam had been coming at Mase for years and Mase never responded. Not only did the song come out of left field, it was also dope. Mase, through the latter part of his career, had the reputation of being a pop rapper who made songs for the ladies and the radio. However, on The Oracle he channeled the flow of Murder Mase from his beginning days with COG. His song went viral and basically resurrected his career. Listen to the Oracle below.

24 hours later after Mase dropped his song, Cam came back with his own response. He dropped a track called Dinner Time. The song touched on a lot of issues that Mase spoked on his song. Cam said he didn’t have a blood sister, which refuted the line in which Mase said he slept with his sister in The Oracle. He also reiterated the allegations that Baby Maine “slapped” him and ran him out of Harlem. Listen to “Dinner Time” below
