I have ran out of words to describe LeBron James greatness. So I’m not going to use this space to wave the pom-poms to salute him this year. I will say that I agree with LeBron when he says that Kevin Durant joined the Golden State Warriors so they can beat him. Well he didn’t say that exactly. He made a general statement regarding ‘super-teams’ and how players and coaches switch teams to beat him. Based on the timing of that statement; I took it as being a reference towards KD joining Golden State. You can read the exact quote here if you want.   Regardless of what you think about LeBron’s statement; there will be a rematch between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors. I just don’t think it will top the excitement of last year’s Finals.

Let’s be clear about one thing: KD is still KD. And what that means is that he is still the second best player in the NBA. Even on a team with a back to back MVP; he still shine the brightest. The new flavor in the NBA has been Kawhi Leonard and his explosion on the offensive end on the floor. Kawhi has already won a Defensive Player of the Year award. The combination of his defense, along with being an elite scorer has him in the conservation of the best at this position. Along with Paul George, he is one of the best at small forward. In fact, I did put Kawhi in my Top Ten list; but that was because KD was hurt in the 2014-15 season. However when Durant was healthy and went against Kawhi Leonard in last season’s playoffs, he bust his ass. KD averaged 28.5 points on 50 percent shooting and sent Spurs on vacation. That’s all the information I needed to have him at the slot.
