Toronto Mayor Rob Ford to return to work from rehab on June 30

Ford, in rehab at GreeneStone rehab facility in Bala, Ont., took the leap into getting help for his substance abuse issues after a series of missteps that included his much ballyhooed foray into crack cocaine smoking, a bevy of drunken escapades and unusual press conferences. More recently another drug video was alleged to have surfaced and an audio tape of a drunk Mayor Ford became public.
In Ford’s absence, Deputy Mayor Norm Kelly had the access codes to the mayor’s office changed. Toronto City spokeswoman Jackie DeSouza said this was done to “keep his office secure while he was away on his leave and to ensure it remained in exactly the same state as when he left.” Kelly’s office said there was concern that a number of people had access to the codes and they wanted to ensure that the office remained undisturbed in the mayor’s absence.
