Trinidad James Performs and Promotes New Single ‘Playlist’ in Atlanta

Back in 2012, Trinidad James was one of the hottest artists in the game. His debut single “All Gold Everything”  charted on the Billboard Top 100 and got him a $2 million dollar joint venture deal with Def Jam Records. Despite the success of his single, his album never came out and two years later he was dropped from the label.

I caught up with him in Atlanta performing his new single ‘Playlist.’   The song highlights some of Trinidad’s favorite artists and songs. He also made mention of his past situation and had a response to his doubters. In the opening lines, he says: ” Independent money n***a got my own label/ Niggas think I’m failing cause I left off of a major/ I can take a loss my n***a I am not a stranger.
