Trump Threatens to Shut Down Government

Donald Trump spoke in Phoenix Arizona at a rally the lasted over an hour. The President’s speech covered various topics including the backlash he received from his response on the violence in Charlottesville Virginia and the pardon of former Arizona sheriff  Joe Arpaio. He also blamed Democrat lawmakers for standing in his way of funding for a border wall between the U.S and Mexico. Trump hinted at shutting down the government in order to make the Democratic lawmakers support the border wall. The rally drew a lot of Trump supporters and a lot of protesters. Police stood outside the event and put out metal barricades to separate the two factions of people. No estimation of how many people showed up, but officials said there were a lot.
