U.N Calls Israel Killings Unjustified, The U.S Disagrees and Blocks Independent Probe

It seems the only person at the U.N council meeting who thought that Israel’s attack on Palestinians civilians made sense was U.S Ambassador Nikki Haley. “No one would. No country in this chamber would act with more restraint than Israel has,” she said in defense of Israel’s actions on the Gaza border. While trying to compare Palestinians throwing “flaming objects” to Israeli military killings, she was rebuffed by  U.N.’s Middle East envoy Nikolai Mladenov. “No justification for the killing” and “no excuse.” Mladenov said. Several countries had called for independent probe of the killings, but the U.S blocked it. Over 50 Palestinians have been killed by the Israeli military on the Gaza border.
