Usain Bolt Claims He Ate 1,000 Chicken McNuggets at 2008 Olympics

Bolt apparently thought that Chinese food was “odd,” so he went to McDonald’s throughout his 10 days in Beijing. He was 22 years old at the time.

The amount he had per meal varied. Some meals he would have a box of 20 McNuggets, and others he would have multiple boxes. He estimated that he ate 100 McNuggets per 24 hours during his 10 days there.

“Man, I should have gotten a gold medal for all that chowing down,” Bolt writes.

Eating that many McNuggets during the Olympics seems like a crazy amount, but the fastest man on the planet didn’t let it slow him down.

In case you were wondering, each McNugget has 47.5 calories and 3 grams of fat, according to McDonald’s nutritional information.

Bolt won three gold medals at the 2008 Olympics, in the 100 meter, 200 meter and 4×100 meter relay.
