KFOR-TV reported that a couple who recently had a baby noticed that pacifiers kept going missing around the house. One day, the baby’s grandmother noticed the couple’s dog, Dovey, grab a pacifier off the counter.
The couple took Dovey to Dr. Chris Rispoli at Gentle Care Animal Hospital after noticing the dog wasn’t eating as much as usual, and had vomited up a pacifier, KFOR-TV reported.
Rispoli posted about the incident on Facebook and said they originally thought the dog only ate 7-9 pacifiers, but they were wrong.
“You can see the binkie’s stacked up in the stomach, we counted 7-9,” Gentle Care Animal Hospital said in a Facebook post. “Well……by the end of surgery, we had pulled 21 out of her stomach.”
Dovey is recovering, and Rispoli cautioned other pet owners to be cautious with their pets.
“Dog’s will eat anything, anytime and at any age so always be watching,” he said in the post.
