Problems about her marriage with longtime husband Kevin Hunter has been all over the internet and in the news lately. Several sources have revealed that Hunter and his longtime mistress Sharina Hudson just had a baby. Many people have speculated that Williams relapsed into substance abuse addiction was triggered by the Hunter’s cheating and news of the baby. Last week Wendy went on her show and told her fans that she has been living in a sober house.
Wendy not only talked about her current problems with alcohol and prescription drugs, she also mentioned her past addiction to cocaine. However, she did not state that her husband’s cheating was the reason for her struggles. Following her admission, there have been support for Wendy, Don Lemon called her “the bravest woman I know.” On the other hand, there have been other people who believed that Williams problems is a result of karma revealing it’s ugly head. Back in February, when Williams took a break from her show due to illness, Chris Brown stated that he “thinks bad karma is to blame for her poor health.”
Charlamagne tha God also made some comments regarding Wendy Williams situation on his show The Breakfast Club. He stated he didn’t understand how Williams could on TV and radio for so many years and tell women to leave their man “for significantly less” infractions, but continues to get “emotionally abuse” by her husband. That sentiment has been shared by other people who have been leaving comments on the internet during Wendy’s ordeal. It seems hypocritical to some people that she hasn’t spoke out about her husband.
It looks like the saying what goes around, comes around is appropriate for Wendy’s Williams ordeal. After years of talking about everyone’s else problems, it seems like everyone is talking about her own problems. Additionally, I’m willing the bet the karma energy will not be isolated just to Wendy. Sooner or later, her husband will feel the ramifications of his infidelities as well. The same thing applies to his mistress as well. In the end, the whole big mess will probably be something that everyone regrets. Let’s hope that Wendy recovers from this situation and come back stronger, wiser, humbled, and more considerate of other people going through problems also.
