Authorities have alleged that on November 14th, a student at Naperville High School in Illinois took a photo of his classmate and then posted it on Craigslist with a caption that read Slave for Sale.  He was arrested and appeared in court yesterday (Nov.20th) on two charges of a felony hate crime and one count of disorderly conduct. Naperville Chief of Police Robert Marshall stated that “Every single person deserves the right to feel safe and welcome in our community, and this department will continue to strive to make that a reality by thoroughly investigating any allegations of hate crimes and bringing those found responsible to justice.” The name and age of the teenager were not released but he is due back in court on December 8th.
