Shaq released the diss track because of Dame’s comments on the @JoeBudden Podcast.

“People weren’t looking at it like he’s a real rapper. It was like, ‘That’s Shaq rapping.’ So, of course, it was a big deal.” pic.twitter.com/SRdvy4hiqW
The “Diesel” wasted no time dropping a diss track that he said was going to “discipline his children.”
The song has some nice bars and some clever lines like “Talkin’ like you ‘Bron you ain’t even Trevor Ariza…call me when you have a back-to-back-to-back-to-back why would I want to be a rapper, rappers want to be Shaq.”
There is no argument that Shaq is the most successful athlete turned rapper. He has some songs with some legendary artists and the only athlete who has platinum plaques as a rapper.
However, from a skills perspective, Dame D.O.L.L.A is arguably proving himself as the best athlete/rapper of all time. He didn’t do anything to dispel that theory when he responded to Shaq with his own diss track.
The song “Reign Reign Go Away” shows that Dame skills are on another level. His lyrics, flow, and beats selection are on par with some of the best rappers that are out now.
There is a debate on who won the battle between the two hoopers. I personally think Dame track was better, but who do you think won? Shaq or Dame; leave your comments below.
