Why would the Government give the Lakers a loan intended for Small businesses and the reason they returned it

The Los Angeles Lakers are one most valuable sports franchises in the world. According to Forbes, they are worth an estimated $4 billion dollars. That didn’t stop them from applying for a loan from the government. The Lakers received a $4.6 million dollar loan from a government agency called the Payroll Protection Program.
