Can’t put down the video controller? Well, it turns out you might have a mental disorder. The World Health Organization has added video game addiction in the International Classification of Diseases. The ICD defines it in it’s catalog as a “a pattern of persistent or recurrent gaming behavior, which may be online or offline, manifested by impaired control over gaming, increasing priority given to gaming to the extent that gaming takes precedence over other life interests and daily activities and continuation or escalation of gaming despite the occurrence of negative consequences.” It seems like playing Call of Duty is more dangerous than what you thought.
