With that said, it seems that the disconnect between Ye and Kweli happen because of Kanye’s association with Donald Trump. In a couple of previous interviews, Kweli explained his displeasure with Ye’s allegiance with Trump.
It was confusing to me why people who both said they had a mutual love for each other could part ways over politics. However, Kweli was very clear about his disdain for Trump and the people who support him. Likewise, during the Drink Champs interview Kanye criticize most of the people who were supposedly cool with him but took public shots at him when he put that MAGA hat on.
What do you think, is Common a better rapper than Kweli?
Do you agree with Kweli’s public stance that he took against Kanye?
Or was Ye in the right for calling out his so call friends for their criticism? Leave your comments below
