African American Teenage Girl Youngest To Pass The Bar Exam

Turnquest has also passed the Bar of England and Wales at 18.

The Telegraph reports that Turnquest is now qualified to work in the United Kingdom, but wants to return to America to take the bar exam there.

Success in education is in Gabrielle’s blood. Her sister Kandi Turnquest passed the same bar exam at 22. Usually, lawyers taking the Bar Professional Training Course are, at minimum,  27 years of age.

“I am honored to be the youngest person to pass the Bar exams but, really, I was not aware at the time what the average age was,” said Turnquest. “I didn’t fully realize the impact of it.”

Gabrielle’s parents are from the Bahamas and miraculously, the teenage genius has the opportunity to take the Bahama Bar Exam.

The UK legal system requires an employee to work at an apprentice level for one year before being offered tenure as a lawyer, which Gabrielle doesn’t mind.

Gabrielle’s goal is to become a fashion law specialist and acquire great success in the years to come.

Turnquest’s accomplishment is being compared to Thessalonika Azru-Embry,the 14-year-old from Chicago who earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology  from Chicago State University.

These young ladies are truly remarkable.
