Black Truth News Top Ten NBA Players

Shooting Guardswade

Dwyane Wade: In my humble opinion Wade has been the top shooting guard in the league the last few years. I know prior to his injury, Kobe Bryant was having one of his best season as a pro, but the addition of Lebron  James to the Miami Heat has made life much easier for D. Wade. Not only has he help Wade add a couple more rings to his collection, but possibly he has help him add a couple more years on his career as well.  You may remember back when Wade was a high flying, fearless slash and flash player. Now he has the luxury of picking his spots, and gives a greater effort toward team defense. This, along with the inevitable decline of the “Black Mamba” has him at the top at this position.

hardenJames Harden: In breaks my heart to say this, but even if Kobe Bryant comes back full strength; I’m still taking Harden at this slot. The difference between Harden and Kobe at this moment is I don’t believe Kobe can still close out games the way he used to. Obviously with age he is not able to dominate the entire game on both ends of the floor; he used to shut down his opponent and also give them 50 points. Not being able to do this anymore proves that he is at least a human being; it also makes him more comparable to the other top shooting guards. With that said, in comparison to James Harden he is more effective but less explosive.

Point Guards: paul

Chris Paul: If Chris Paul is not the top point guard in the NBA, he’s definitely not number three.  No one makes better decisions on the floor than this guy. With the addition of championship winning coach Doc Rivers, a former point guard who knows how to push his players, Chris Paul should become that much better.

westbrookRussell Westbrook: The Derrick Rose injury has not only hurt the Bulls, but the NBA as well. The level of talent at the point guard position is probably at an all time high. Almost every team in the NBA has a half way decent point guard. The competition makes it very entertaining to see on a nightly basis. This makes the current Rose injury that much worse. He just got a chance to play Kyrie Irving for the first time this year and at this current rate probably have to wait a long time to see him again. It says a lot about Rose and his talent to be named MVP a couple seasons ago. But I’m afraid even though he took the time to come back the player he once was, he will never regain the exact same splash he once had. With that said, you have to go with Westbrook; the injury to Rose has made him the most athletic and explosive point guard in the league.
