BTN: It seems like there is no more traditional R&B music, do you feel like it has gone away?
Monica: No I feel like it is still here. I just think it is no nurturing of our young talent. When you have that disconnection with the younger talent, it is going to be a drop-off. I still think it is there and it is not going anywhere.
BTN: You started off young in the industry, how does that feel to grow to this point?
Monica: Yes (laughs) I started when I was 12! Yes, I was a little girl. That’s why I telling the audience that you saw all my ups and down. I am open because people have seen me make mistakes and have seen me grow before their eyes. I have to keep it real because what I have been through, the good and bad can help people.
BTN: Well I know you have to go but I just want to say you did a good job and it was good seeing you
Monica: No Problem. Thank you.
